Pricing

Fee for reports differs depending on the type of report. Please contact reception@timmilnes.com.au with details of your requirements for our standard fee.

Payment & Medicare rebate options - Payments must be made upfront at the time of consultation, and may be made by Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer, EFTPOS, or Credit Card (Visa and MasterCard). All of our staff are registered Medicare providers, enabling clients to receive clinical rebates for therapy. Please see your GP for a referral and Mental Health Care Plan prior to your initial appointment. The Medicare rebate can be claimed following payment of the session, via an EFTPOS account, negating the need to visit Medicare. If this is not possible, a receipt will be given which can be taken to Medicare to obtain the allocated rebate. Most Private Health Insurers provide for Clinical Psychology. Check with your provider.

Medicare threshold - All out-of-pocket expenses (or gap fees) incurred count towards your families Medicare Safety Net for the calendar year. The Medicare Safety Net is designed to help by providing greater rebates once you reach your safety net threshold. Typically, Medicare will refund 80% of all future gap fee payments once your family reach their threshold in a calendar year. For further details, or to register, visit: http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au

The recommended fee, set by The Australian Psychological Society, for a standard consultation with a psychologist is $251.00 per 45-60 minute session until the 30th June 2018. Third parties such as Government Departments, Educational Institutions, Legal and Insurance Companies, are typically billed at the APS recommended fee. Cancellation Policy - 24 hrs notice is required for appointment cancellations or clients will incur a fee of $85, un-rebatable through Medicare, FaHCSIA or Workers Compensation. Exceptions to this charge, such as emergency circumstances occurring, will need to be discussed with reception in order to be waived. Due to the high demand for sessions, Tim has people on a waiting list each week wanting sooner appointments.

Reports are generally completed 4 weeks after the date of payment. If there is an urgent requirement for the release of the report and if practically feasible there is a priority completion fee of 30% added to the cost of the report in which case it will be completed within 7-10 days. Only legal assessments are inclusive of assessment sessions cost. All reports are exclusive of GST.

These fees serve as a guide. Please contact reception with details for clarification and a quote for service which will depend on individual circumstances.
